Riverboat Rumble is a cool, bluesy piano solo written by FJH composer Kevin Olson. Rhythmic bass lines that form easy patterns in the left hand drive the “rumble” feel of the piece, while blues scales influence the melodies throughout. There is even an opportunity to try your own guided blues improvisation by repeating a few bars of the piece. Riverboat Rumble provides excellent opportunities for learning a blues style of playing combined with a show-stopping piano solo at the intermediate level.
